Noah is a ceramic artist and educator currently based in France. His work centers on two-dimensional ceramic paintings, combining clay, painting, wood, textiles, and other materials to create layered scenes and portraits rooted in queer identity, memory, and lived experience.

Noah was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, in a French-American Jewish household. Growing up between languages and cultures shaped the way he communicates, and art became one of the first places where Noah felt fully able to express himself. Noah went on to earn a BFA with Honors in Ceramics and Glass from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Palestine in 2018, and an MFA in Ceramics from Alfred University in New York, USA in 2022.

As a transgender gay man, Noah’s work draws from personal experience while opening onto broader conversations about queer bodies, mental health, community, and culture. He is interested in making work that invites people to look closely, ask questions, and engage with identity in a more compassionate and thoughtful way.

After several years working and studying across the United States and abroad, Noah and his husband fled the United States from anti-trans legislation in 2024. Noah is currently focused on setting up a studio practice in France while pursuing residencies, teaching opportunities, and new ways to share ceramics with a wider community.
